Just got back from Paris last year and loved every bit of it. Now I'm already planning a return trip to France and I really want to use Paris as a base or starting point and branch out properly this time. I've done the main Paris things, the museums, the markets, the neighborhoods, and now I want to see what the rest of the country actually looks like. Problem is I don't know where to begin.Â
I have Lyon on my list, curious is there's somewhere better that has great weather, good food, some history, and doesn't feel like it's been completely taken over by vacation crowds. What would you pick and why?
